Marulin is an independent London-based startup that directly sources our tea from our family farms in Taiwan and farming friends.
Our teas have a Taiwanese tea base and are specially blended with a British twist. We want to make Taiwanese tea accessible for you to enjoy, since Taiwanese tea is rare and usually expensive in Britain!
Marulin is a place where our family’s passion for tea has been handed down through generations of farmers in Taiwan.
The idea behind Marulin started four generations ago. Back in 1944, Mr. J.L. Lin inherited pineapple and tea farms in the village of Chuwei in Nantou County, Taiwan from his father. During World War II, Mr. Lin traded pineapples and tea with the Japanese using a stamp with the symbol of Marulin. Throughout that time until the 1970s, everyone in the family farmed!
In 2016, Mr Lin’s granddaughter, Dr. Lin, decided to share the wonders of our teas with the rest of the world and started Marulin tea. Today, we still own the farms and have evolved to Marulin where the love of tea goes beyond our farms and beyond your cup.
Since our launch:
