Podere di Pomaio is a young craft & natural Tuscan winery located in the Chianti area. Brothers Iacopo and Marco implanted the 3 hectares of vineyard only in 2004 and were able to make their first vintage only in 2009 after years of patient hard work. The famous characteristic of Podere di Pomaio is that the 15.000 bottles are entirly produced in a recently built Eco Winecellar selected as one of Tuscany's most beautiful wineries especially because of its low impact on the environment, so low that Podere di Pomaio represented the green wave of Italy's Wine Companys at the recent Expo 2015. The fun thing about Podere di Pomaio is that Iacopo is a pure Vigneron, while Marco a Sommelier and Marketeer, goes without saying that this blend is explosive and the wines are Sangiovese based and traditionally made respecting the terroir and the brother's mood
Enoteca Pomaio is a Spin Off of Podere di Pomaio as the two brothers fell in love with east London and decided together with a friend to create the restaurant on Brick Lane based on Craft Wines & Tuscan Kitchen. This was possible thanks to the help of many friends like Luca Degl'Innocenti, one of Italy's Top Sommelier - Francesco Mastronardi, Chef and Owner at Osteria MEST - Fabio Cornelli, professional food selector and Beer Sommelier - Simone Barsanti, young and promisig chef resident at the Brick Lane site
